In line with the Callowie stud name, stud principal Richard Halliday has simplified the stud’s primary breeding objectives down to the four C’s:

Conformation, Constitution, Consistency & Covering

Excellence in these four areas is the base on which commercial sheep producers can greatly improve their profits.

With the support of objective measurements, Callowie aims for a covering of soft handling, free growing wools with low CV and SD figures and microns in the productive 19.5 to 21 range, all on sound structured and hardy sheep.

In November 2016 Callowie Poll Merinos prepares 150 specially selected stud ewes for lambing in 2017.

Three top performing sires have been selected for these special ladies .
